Eagle

Eagle is a personal DAM: drop a screenshot, a mockup photo, an inspiration JPEG, it organizes with tags, dominant color, source. Fast visual search ('show me all B2B landing pages in dark mode I collected'). Finder integration, auto-capture from clipboard, menu bar. Useful once you accumulate > 100 reference images on a topic.

Configs and workflows worth knowing

Capture screenshots directly into Eagle

Eagle has a browser extension and a shortcut to capture a full page or a region into its library. Auto tags, dominant color detected, source URL saved. You build your inspiration library without ever leaving what you're doing.

Organize by tags instead of folders

An image can have multiple tags (dark-mode, onboarding, SaaS, B2B), so it can be found via multiple criteria. No more copying the same file into 3 folders. Smart Folders dynamically return 'all B2B landings in dark mode' without reclassification.

Visual search by color

Looking for references with the same palette as your project? Filter by dominant color (e.g. orange #FF6B00 ± tolerance). Useful to validate color choices or find visually coherent inspiration.
